Many times a roof can be replaced without touching these items, however, if they are worn out or damaged we have employees on staff who can replace these as needed. When replacing a shingle roof, the metal flashings most likely will need to be replaced. Many residential roofing contractors either leave the existing flashings in place or do not properly install new metal flashings. A quality roofing contractor properly will properly evaluate what should be replaced and what can be reused. Do I have an insurance claim?
